Week 5: Snacks – Healthy choices to keep you on track
Here is an overview of what will be covered in this class:
Snacking may be part of your usual routine. Or you may try to avoid it at all costs. But there will be times in life when you will get hungry between meals. It may happen every day. Or it may only happen once in a while. But when it does happen to you, are you ready for it?
You can walk into any convenience store and find aisles of snacking options. Unfortunately, most of them are high in calories, fat, sugar or salt. And while some of these are okay to have every so often, they should not be eaten every day. The good news is that there are plenty of other healthy options that will help keep you on track.
This class will teach you how to plan ahead and be ready for those times when you need a snack. The group will also discuss ideas on how to eat on the run and share some of the healthier snacks they enjoy.
