Maybe it’s time to try express circuit training! Circuit express training involves doing one set of an exercise quickly followed by another exercise with minimal rest in between each exercise. The total length of time for an express circuit workout depends on the amount of exercises performed. Times can vary anywhere between a 10 minutes SUPER express workout to 30 minutes total body express workout.
Circuit training is a great way to increase strength and stamina resulting in significant changes to body composition all in a time efficient manner.
MORE calories burned. MORE lean muscle. LESS time involved.
A circuit usually involves three or more exercises performed in succession. The exercises can be performed using just body weight, free weights, weight stack machines, or involve a mix of all three.
The best part is circuits can be designed to target specific and individualized goals. Exercises in the circuit can be designed for summer arms, beach body abs, or toned thighs and legs. Circuits can also be performance based. Sport specific circuits could be designed for golfers, tennis players, runners, or swimmers.
Don’t waste more time than you need to this summer and make an appointment with a DHAC exercise physiologist to design YOUR SPECIFIC summer express circuit!
