These high energy classes focus on listening skills and sharing. Games, drills, and scrimmages will teach your child the rules of soccer as he or she is introduced to the world of sports. Located on the DHAC indoor basketball court. Parent participation required.

What is Kempo Karate?
The term Kempo means “The way of the fist”, or “Fist law”. It is a form of karate that is taught and practiced for self defense. The art utilizes linear and circular movements incorporated with scientific concepts to achieve an optimal system for defending one’s self. Kempo is ideal for children and adults. A typical starting age for children can be as young as 4.

Rock Climbing: Ages 5 - 18 years

Rock Climbing is a great activity for all ages and ability levels. Build self-confidence and independence, develop core strength and endurance – all while having a safe, challenging experience.

Spiders: 5 – 6 yrs: The Spiders Class is an introduction to the sport of climbing for our youngest climbers. Spiders will learn basic climbing techniques, gym safety, and basic climbing terminology. With the use of different climbing games and activities, spiders will gain the confidence to conquer new challenges.

Thursday: 4 - 5:15pm
Saturday: 9 - 10:15am

Explorers: 7 – 9 yrs: Explorers are new climbers looking for a fun, challenging, and rewarding experience. Conquering beginner trails and building an understanding for the sport are key components for this class. Explorers will begin to learn different climbing knots and commands.

Monday: 5:30 - 6:45pm
Tuesday: 4 - 5:15pm
Thursday: 5:30 - 6:45pm
Saturday: 10:15 - 11:30am

Pathfinders: 8 – 10 yrs: Pathfinders are experienced beginners who have shown progress in their climbing skills. They have mastered the figure 8 knot, and have begun to challenge themselves on harder climbs. Proper climbing techniques will be introduced to show our pathfinders how to efficiently navigate a climb.

Monday: 5:30 - 6:45pm
Tuesday: 4 - 5:15pm|
Thursday: 5:30 - 6:45pm
Saturday: 10:15 - 11:30am

Trailblazers: 9 – 17 yrs: Trailblazers are experienced climbers looking to learn the more intricate aspects of the sport. They will begin to learn proper belay techniques, lead climbing, and rappelling. At the end of each session, Trailblazers may take the Guide Test. The Guide test will cover climbing terminology, Belaying, and Lead Climbing.

Thursday: 6:45 - 8:00pm
Saturday: 11:30 - 12:45pm Guides: 10 – 18 yrs: Guides are our most experienced climbers. After successful completion of the Guide test, guides will work to challenge themselves and each other to further advance their climbing ability. Guides will learn to set new gym routes and how to effectively grade each climb.

Saturday: 11:30 - 12:45pm
