Junior Tennis Academy at D.H.A.C.

Our clinics are group lessons designed to help each player reach his/her tennis goals. Proper grips, stance and technique are reinforced. Players are competing in various situations either through live ball drills or match play. Junior development offers intermediate and advanced classes.
Performance 1 Ages 11 - 17 This class is ideal for beginners and advanced beginners. Proper grips, stance and technique are introduced.
Performance 2 Ages 11 - 17 These players already have a strong tennis foundation and good rallying skills. Classes will reinforce and improve upon existing techniques.

This is an invitational program. Players in the program compete in USTA tournaments and/or are high level varsity players. In addition to at least one clinic per week, participants must take a private lesson and a cross fit class. Our philosophy is based on the idea that there is no substitute for fundamentals and hard work. Practices emphasize developing players’ technical and tactical skills in all major areas of play; ground strokes, approaching, passing, net play, serves, returns and of course point play and competition. While we help foster a player’s personal style, there will still be significant focus on incorporating that style within sound shot selection and mental toughness.
