“The greater the obstacle, the more glory you achieve in overcoming it.”
Six months ago, I experienced two breaks and a dislocation in my right wrist that required major surgery. After putting pins and a permanent screw in my wrist bones (seen in the top picture), the surgeon told me that there was a great chance that I will never be able to bend my wrist fully again. As devastated as I was, the doctor continued to tell me that “it all depends on you, and how much work you put in to getting it back.”
The bottom left picture was a week after my surgery; my wrist was as stiff as a wooden plank. After six months of completing my exercises with 100% effort in each and every repetition, I was able to get my full range of motion back. The bottom right picture is present day, and as you can see, I can fully bend my wrist without any pain or issues.
The message I want to send out is that no matter how difficult it is to battle through an injury, a disability, weight loss, or even muscle gain, we can achieve anything as long as we give 100% effort, all day, everyday.
