We are excited to introduce a BRAND NEW sports conditioning program, The Burdenko Method, to Dedham Health’s young athletes! Developed by Dr. Igor Burdenko, this program combines land AND water exercises that hit all the conditioning elements for young athletes: balance, coordination, flexibility, endurance, speed and strength. Here’s a sneak peak of some exercises your young athlete can expect from this world-renowed program:
Jumping Jacks: These jumping jacks aren’t performed like the ones in gym class; this exercise is performed in the water. This movement strengthens the arms & legs and will improve balance, coordination, strength & flexibility.
V-Position: With the assistance of Burdenko’s unique equipment, this exercise will burn the abdominal muscles & increase flexibility. Make sure the back stays straight & toes are pointed toward the head to stretch the heel.
