Here is a Thank You letter written by one of are DHAC members…
Hello DHAC Management,
I wanted to take a moment to compliment you on your amazing staff. Robbie was my first introduction to your trainers and it was a great one. I’ve often had questions while using the facility and Sarah C and Brittanie have been great resources. I also know I can go to Jason or Guy for running advice. I’ve been truly impressed by Sarah G. She’s a great combination of inspiration and spirit… I love her classes. She often asks if I’m coming to a class which makes me feel I would be missed and it motivates me too.
But, as any parent, my first priority is my children. This past April I brought my two young ones to see the facility and try to register them for day camp. The younger of the two learns and perceives differently from most other children. Although his issues are very mild, we still live in a world where ‘no’ is a common response when trying to register for a program. However, when I mentioned his diagnosis, Jesse didn’t bat an eye. He assured me that it would be fine. So, I was able to register my youngest for the week he didn’t have his morning obligations. Jesse probably didn’t realize the effect it had, but, it was nice to feel normal and a relief to feel both of my kids were welcome.
A month later It occurred to me that my youngest needed afternoon activities. I asked Michelle if DHAC had an afternoon option. She said there wasn’t but then took it upon herself to get him registered for half days in the afternoons. The easy thing would have been to simply leave it at ‘no.’ She chose to take the extra steps. Even though she said it was no problem, the effort she took means so much more to our family. Since then, she, Melanie, Christina and Rachel have gone out of their way to accommodate my child’s situation while Joslin has actually gotten him to jump into the pool! And my older child is having a marvelous time as well with Liz and Jerod. So, whatever you’re doing to keep your staff outstanding, it’s working. Thanks so much for your time.
