Did you know that muscle cramps are twice as common in the summer?! If you work out regularly, you are even more susceptible to post-workout muscle tightness. Here’s some easy tips on avoiding dreaded muscle cramps:
- Drink 64 ounces of water a day. Dehydration is a HUGE cause of leg cramps.
- Eat more dark, leafy greens.
- Stretching your cramping muscle helps disrupt the spasm. When you cramp up, sit or stand up & extend your leg so your knee is straight. Flex your foot and reach for your toes.
