Water aerobics will provide a great workout for the cardiovascular system while keeping your heart rate 15-17 beats lower than doing cardio on land.

The buoyancy from the water will naturally make you a lot lighter compared to when you are on land. This allows your body more freedom and a greater range of motion.

The water provides a natural resistance so your muscles have to work harder while doing simple moves.
