This is the perfect time of year to be active outside. We start walking, running and even biking outside to get the most out of the summer. To pass the time, we often wear our headphones and listen to our favorite playlist.
I kindly encourage you to take the music out of your ears. Being aware of your surroundings and utilizing all of your senses for safety is a must. Your sense of hearing in super important while outdoors working out.
It is very hard to hear a predator coming up behind you as well as traffic and other potential dangers. Take this time to notice your neighborhood and running routes, free of distraction. If you CANNOT live without your tunes, allow the music to play from your device’s built in speaker and keep it low. Be safe!
