Winter blues? After the hype of Christmas and New Years winter seems to drag on and on, leaving some of us feeling blue. What if I told you that exercise could help this blue feeling?
According to a study that was done in 2005 which showed that participants had a significant improvement in mood in 12 weeks, after they were introduced to an exercise program. When you are exercising, either cardio or strength training, it has been proven to show an increase in endorphins and dopamine which helps stimulates a feel good response.
The saying exercise is good for the body and mind is certainly true! I would encourage you to give it a try this season and try to kick those winter blues!
