Pre-emptive Strike – A surprise attack that is launched in order to prevent the enemy from doing it to you.
Okay, this sounds a little intense for a blog opening but in this case the enemy is body fat! Let me back it up a bit.
Let’s face it, the holiday season is here and I have yet to meet anyone that indulges in a grilled chicken salad for Thanksgiving dinner. Oh yes, and that same person has a glass of water for a beverage and a fruit plate for dessert right? WRONG!
That said; your pre-emptive strike against the enemy is exercise! It is really just that easy! Continue to exercise right up through the holidays and if you are planning on over-indulging this season, launch that pre-emptive strike NOW with an extra spin class or some heavier weights in BodyPump! Add an extra 50 crunches to your regimen or just stay on the treadmill for 15 extra minutes. It all counts people, and it’s all very simple.
