Believe it or not…YES!!!
There is truth in the saying, “no one joins a club to be alone. We at DHAC decided to change our tag line from Group Ex to Group Fitness for All to remind everyone that any and all classes are for everyone.
Why? When you work out in groups, you are more likely to stick to your program, come on a consistent basis, and stay at the health club longer. I pass by our lobby at least 50 times a day and what I see is large groups of members joined together playing games, having lunch, planning outings – all before or after their fitness class. It’s powerful what you can accomplish in a group.
Feeling overwhelmed by our schedule? Try these tips:
- Try one new class a week. Keep your schedule in mind – if you love it, you will want to come back regularly!
- Make sure as you try one class from each of our categories, Strength, Cardio and Mind Body. This will help to enhance your workouts as well as keep your fitness routine well rounded. Additionally, the more variety you have in your program, the less likely you will get bored.
- If you want to just get your feet wet or if you have a time constraint, not a problem. We have classes that are a mere 20 minutes! Who can’t fit that in?
- Ask a friend to take the class with you, so you can have some fun together. Don’t have friends with the same schedule? Don’t worry! You will most likely walk out of class meeting someone new.
Make sure to ask any of the trainers what class they recommend for you. The Group Fitness for All staff are extremely knowledgeable, humble and ready to help you out and push you to the next level… at your pace.
Take the opportunity to get into our studios. We promise you will feel comfortable, accomplished and having met some new friends. If you have any questions or need help organizing a Group Fitness schedule of your own, please contact us.
