So, the holidays are over and we are all trying to get back on track. We’ve heard over and over again that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But how do we make the right choices?
A picture is worth a thousand words. As you can see, a scone might be a tasty treat. Unfortunately, it doesn’t give us the most efficient nutritional bang for our buck. For the calories in a single scone, you can have oatmeal with fruit, a bowl of cherries, an orange, 2 slices of light toast with jam, a bowl of dry cornflakes, and half a banana!
Of course, we don’t recommend eating all those things at one sitting. But, which do you think will better help you keep hunger at bay and achieve your weight loss goals? Next time you reach for that breakfast pastry, think again.
